“Two roads diverged in a wood and I – I took the one less traveled by.” – Robert Frost
Hi! I’m Sarah. As a Colorado native, I’ve been hiking since I was in diapers and hiking boots are still my daily shoe of choice. Any chance I get, I trade pavement for dirt, hitting the trails with my yellow labrador Sadie.
Way back when, my dad taught me to “go find my rock” when things just weren’t going right in life. This mantra has developed over the years, but there is nothing that can bring me back to center like a big breath of fresh mountain air. With the cool breeze hitting my cheeks and the sun warming my soul, it’s like the mountains are embracing me, and I know everything will be OK.
Just a Gal and her Dog is a chronicle of Sarah and Sadie’s mountain adventures. I hope this blog will help inspire others to breathe in mountain air and to never stop exploring.
